Hey Everyone! Welcome to my World Race Blog!

If you know me, you know that two of my favorite things are serving others and finding new adventures. Service is where I have always felt closest to God, and so when I heard about the World Race, I was immediately interested. I am so incredibly blessed to be going on this trip, and I am beyond excited. So, I thought the most appropriate way to introduce and describe myself would be to share three things that I’m looking forward to experiencing, three things that I’m sad to leave behind, and three things that I’m packing in my suitcase.

There are so many things that I’m super excited about, but my three biggest are:

  • meeting so many new people!
  • international sunrises (in some pretty epic places)
  • trying new food (not totally sure if I’ll like it but I’m definitely willing to try)

The things that are going to be challenging to leave behind are:

  • my Dunkin iced coffee (though fresh Costa Rican coffee might beat Dunkin)
  • not spending Christmas and so many other holidays with my family
  • epic games of Just Dance and late-night Chameleon with my friends

The things that are going to be traveling with me are:

  • My Bible (of course)
  • My stuffed elephant (he doubles as a pillow and he always smells like home)
  • a camera (to capture all the memories)

I hope ya’ll are buckled in because this is going to be a wild and epic ride!
